I don't normally like to repost editorials on here but this is an exception. I came across these photos of Erin on some other blogs and quickly realized they were all shot...in my backyard (figuratively that is). So proud, putting Fort Worth on the map!

DIY: Tea-stain Fabric

I have been on the hunt for new bedding for my apartment for a couple weeks now. Every time I come close to buying something, I always talk myself out of it because I'm not completely in love with it. So today my Mom and I went to Pottery Barn and picked up a (really) white linen duvet cover, with the idea that I was going to "tea-stain" it myself. When I got home I googled "how to tea-stain linen fabric" and got right to work. I boiled about 40 cups of water in a huge pot, let 7 black tea bags stoop for 15 minutes, poured it all into my bathtub, and let the duvet soak for an hour. It turned out beautifully! I can't wait to set up my new room, its going to be so presh! Here are some photos I took during the process :)

Heres the finished product! I have cream walls in my bedroom so I had to hang it over my computer chair so you could see the color better! You likey?

Seaside

I have been in Seaside, Florida with my best friend Sara and her family for a little over a week but I am finally back! I had such a great vacation and coming home is bittersweet. Here are a few of the photos I took during my stay.

Antiques Moderne + Grange Hall

This morning I drove over to Dallas with my mom to do a little home shopping. First on our list, Antiques Moderne, a super retro and fun antique store located in the design district of Dallas. I heard about this store from Jane over at Sea of Shoes so we had to check it out!

Then we walked across the street to Lost, another store packed full of antique furniture and vintage finds.

Finally and unexpectedly, we saved the best for last. For everybody that lives in the metroplex you absolutely have to check out Grange Hall. It truly was the coolest shopping experience I have ever had. 

Crystals that were hand grown on branches in a bath tub, these were beautiful and insane.

These are from the oldest candle company ever. Mary Antoinette, Napoleon, and France's royal families burned them in their homes... or castles for the matter :)
